From 1 May the administration of the MPS pension scheme has been transferred from Equiniti (EQ) to SSL/SopraSteria but you should continue to receive the same service as before. All outstanding matters including letters and queries have been handed over so any further contact will come from SSL and not EQ.
• The telephone number remains the same – 0300 123 0828;
• General enquiries should be sent to enquiries_pensions@police.soprasteria.co.uk and for the first two months emails to the old address will auto redirect and members will receive a response advising them of the correct address in future;
• The website has changed to https://mymetpolicepension.policesharedservices.co.uk but users going to the old website address will be redirected seamlessly for 12 months and prompted to re-bookmark the new site for future use;
• The new postal address is MPS Pension Service, Sort Ref 425 (Newcastle), Phoenix House, Celtic Springs, Newport NP10 8FZ;
• A royal Mail redirect from the old postal address will be in place for 12 months and EQ have committed to collect any mail which misses or bypasses this for collection and transfer to SSL by secure courier on a regular basis;
• Pension payments will continue as before;
• Payments to members who receive payment to international bank accounts will continue to be processed via Citibank and EQ, so existing mandates continue to apply, and the process will remain the same;
There will be a further change currently scheduled for 2027 when administration will pass to DXC Technology with XPS as their pension administrator. We will keep you informed about this move.
