London NARPO has been contacted by the London Assembly and along with other organisations has been asked to share perspectives on recruitment and retention within policing. The discussion is expected to explore experiences of current recruitment and retention practices, successful initiatives, key challenges, and potential areas for improvement.
They are particularly interested in the experiences of both current and former police officers, including factors that influence career decisions, reasons for remaining in or leaving policing, and reflections on how recruitment and retention practices could be strengthened.
Additionally, the rapporteur Emma Best AM is keen to capture the perspectives and experiences of current and former Met officers as part of this work and has published this survey. They would be grateful if you could consider helping ensure your views are reflected in the investigation’s findings and recommendations.
