Lockerbie Rememberance Service 
On Saturday the 21st of December there will be a service at Tundergarth Parish Church marking the 36th anniversary of the bombing of Pan Am flight 103. 
 
The Metropolitan Police have been asked by the Lockerbie Legacy Foundation and the Tundergarth Kirks Trust to extend the invitation to both serving and retired officers who were involved in the recovery operations at Lockerbie and/or subsequent investigation.

In commemoration of our unique bond, we will pay tribute through uplifting performances and verse 
In honour of the exemplary, selfless and compassionate efforts of the survivors and townspeople of Lockerbie Ingratitude for the heroic response by thousands of first responders and volunteers who demonstrated tireless commitment and humanity In memory of the 270 souls lost in the air and on the ground with the bombing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie on 21 December 1988 
GUESTS ARE ASKED TO ARRIVE BETWEEN 12:30 PM and 1 :00 PM 
This event will include a "Wall of Honour" display featuring the official coats ofa rms of all the responder organisations who dealt with the aftermath of the attack. First responders are invited to add an item to the display which represents their organisation. 
This could be a shield plaque, flag, or other insignia that will form a collective tangible representation of what was a historic and unparalleled multi-agency operation. Ultimately this will become a permanent exhibition to honour responders' extraordinary service in the upcoming Pan Am 103 Lockerbie Heritage Museum within the Tundergarth Kirk ruins.
